Promoting good health through education, attention to lifestyle and specialized physical activity is the focus of Lafayette General's highly-regarded Wellness Center. Located in the Grant Molett Medical Arts Center, adjacent to the LGMC campus at 461 Heymann Blvd., it houses a fully-equipped and modern gym, and aerobics areas. The Center is staffed by a registered nurse, exercise physiologists and aerobic and fitness instructors for a safe and convenient environment*.

Wellness Services
Full Service Gym is equipped with the latest in cardiovascular equipment (including treadmills, stairmasters, elliptical trainers and recumbent bikes), free weights and weight machines.
Gym Hours: Monday - Thursday: 5 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Friday - 5 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday - 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Lifestyle Classes provide additional ongoing programs to the community to help promote a healthy way of life.
Strength Training Program is an option for Wellness members who would like to work with a personal fitness counselor one-on-one. This exercise physiologist will help you to achieve your fitness goals by developing a comprehensive, individualized, strength training regimen.
*As a hospital-based program, the Wellness Center requires all members to complete a Fitness Evaluation, which includes a detailed personal medical history and various health screenings (blood pressure analysis, cholesterol profile, blood glucose screening, hemoccult testing, sub-max stress test with or without EKG, strength and flexibility testing, body composition testing. This Evaluation Report is not only an important asset to your health, the staff uses a member's health risk profile to develop individualized exercise programs for each Wellness member.
